This printer has been problematic since purchasing it a few months ago.
Getting it working, printing and connecting was a 'herculean' task, but I did it - dont ask me how!
But it was working...
Well, we have had to change our home wifi router.
So, it can no longer connect to our home wifi network because it doesn't have the network details.
My question is how can I update the printer to give it the new network details?
We don't have a mac or PC computer. However, we do have a chromebook and numerous iOS devices. I must have used the iOS app for set-up when we purchased.
It's a very basic printer, so basic that it doesn't have any kind of LCD display menu screen. All it has is a tiny basic black and white display and 5 or 6 buttons (See pic for display screen). Only a USB connection and no ethernet. There is no way I can find to input network details on the printer itself.
Here is the basic display
So, therefore it must be through done through a device and then you 'push' the details to the printer.
I have tried to use WEP as quick way of bypassing the need to input network/password. This didn't work for me.
I appreciate it's a very basic printer, and I'll be honest we only purchased it because of the cheap price and the InstantInk cartridge scheme. Currently we can't update HP for cartridges to replaced becuase we can't get on the internet.
One idea I had was to try and factory reset the printer. But I have struggled to find out how to do this too!
Can you help????
Many thanks,
Daz-El
