Ok guys I'm at my wits end here. I had this thing like 3 months barely used it. Sit in a room no one even passed thru. I go to use the thing and soon as I turn it on, it says scanner problem, restart and if that doesn't fix it, contact HP. So I am going through all the things to fix that scanner and I'm to the factory reset stage since nothing was working. So I start setting it up and I get to a stage that says align print head, in the setup process, but when I click to print the sheet, never ever does. I have power cycled it. I have tried the web interface since I can't use the touch screen it's got a continue button to hit and that's it. Well the Web interface will not allow an alignment because the scanner fails. I already had an alignment sheet printed from before. It will not let me restore or reset. I can send basic files and they print but I still can align it nor can I use the screen or scanner. It says it's busy if I try to scan, or reset from web interface. When I) at the status in hp smart the status of the printer is " align the print heads" with a reset button next to it but it does nothing when I hit it, it just refreshes to the same info. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything HP related. I have done the scan Dr to no end. I'm losing my mind. I had just got maybe had it a month and my hubby was hurt in a bad wreck and was in a coma for a long time and rehab for a long time then I was caring for him for a long time. Then Our house burned down along with the out buildings and vehicles, the motorcycle boat and pool. We didn't have insurance as we were out of work because of COVID. Then to top it off our 17 year old son died. So needless to say I was overwhelmed for about 2 years straight. The other day I went to use this thing again for the first time since early 2022. I remembered I was supposed to have gotten help with it while it was under warranty but I had too much going on. So now I'm stuck with this printer that is basically a brick and I have literally hardly used it. The scan count was under 30 but somehow the scanner just died... Now it's stuck in this loop and I'm about to take the Mossberg to it!
