I changed the black cartridge and when printer came on “validating “ and no Information in HP smart , same validating message. I have tried many options-take cartridges out, turn off printer, take cord out of back and take wall outlet out, so many I have found online. I cannot get to settings, just validating. I cannot find a way to reset the printer. Help me!

@Scarlett4601, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the printer being stuck on validating
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like the printer is stuck in a validation loop. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Power Cycle:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Open the printer and ensure that the black cartridge is seated properly. Sometimes the cartridge may not be fully inserted, causing the printer to be unable to validate it.
Reset the Printer:
- To reset the printer to factory settings, press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds. This will reset the network settings, and you may need to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e for Windows 11.
- Install or reinstall the printer drivers and HP Smart software.
Check Ink Levels via HP Smart:
- If HP Smart is showing no information, ensure the software is up to date.
- If you can access the HP Smart app on another device (e.g., phone or tablet), try checking the printer status from there.
Printer Firmware Update:
- Sometimes, the printer needs a firmware update to resolve such issues. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP website.
Let me know how it goes!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
