Product: HP Smart Tank Plus 550
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am trying to find out if I can use sublimation ink on the smart tank? The printer showed up as one of the top ten for sublimation printers and I want to know if that’s true?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you

 

You cannot use sublimation ink on the HP Smart Tank Plus 550.

 

sublimation ink is that stretches across the printhead which warms the ink before depositing it on the paper. Inkjet printers use a liquid ink stored in a cartridge inside the printer or  fed from liquid tanks and some cartridges contain the ink and the printhead.

 

Hence the sublimation ink is incompatible.
