HP Laser Jet MFP M28w

Dear support,

 

I have bought my printer M28w in Hong Kong and now relocated to the UK. I followed the HP Smart 's advice to purchased the toner 44A but the printer is not working. The error message is appeared " The Cartridges listed above are not intended for use in this printer as it is currently configured. " Can you please help?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Please note that few laserjet printers have the reset option in the front panel of the printer, since this printer does not have a front panel, we need to perform an NVRAM reset on the printer, so that it accepts the new region cartridge.

 

*With the printer off press and hold up arrow and cancel button.
* And then turn on the printer without letting go of the buttons.
* When NV displays on the control panel, release the buttons.

The printer resets and then returns to a ready state

Now install the new cartridges and check.

Thank you very much for your reply and help, I have followed your instruction and my printer accepts the new cartridge perfectly. but the bad news is I have already bought another printer due to urgency. ha......
