HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw

I continue to get this error. 'Access denied, the server may be busy, retry later, if the problem continues check for firmware updates.' I did check for firmware updates under set up, service, LaserJet update. It says everything is up-to-date. I also unplugged my machine from the back and the wall. I unplugged the USB cable. Waited three minutes and then plugged it back in directly into the wall and tried again but still have the same error message. Please help ASAP. Please please please. Thank you!

Hi @MelanieShultz,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving a server error

To assist better -

  1. Are you trying to scan to email or print?
  2. Is the printer connected to a network?
  3. What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
  4. I would like to know, is your router set to work on 2.4 GHz network or 5 GHz network band?

Keep me posted.

The printer supports802.11 b/g/n – 2.4 GHz networks only.

You may refer to the printer specifications to verify.

Connect the printer to the 2.4GHZ network and try enabling web services
