I am trying to install a new ink cartridge in my HP Envy 6400e printer.

I have done this many times without issues but today the top door only partially opens so I cannot install the cartridge

Help please?

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

 

I see that you are facing an issue with installing ink cartridges on your printer as the cartridge access door does not open.

Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.

 

1) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

2) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

3) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

4) Now power on the printer again and let me know if that resolves the issue.
