Hi @XP-HOME,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Restart the Printer: You've already tried turning the printer off and on. Ensure that the printer is powered off for at least 60 seconds before turning it back on again.
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Remove and Reinsert Cartridges: Open the printer’s ink cartridge access door and remove each cartridge. Carefully reinsert them, ensuring they click into place properly.
- Inspect Cartridges: Check for any visible damages or ink leaks on the cartridges. If damaged, you may need to replace them.
Inspect and Clean Printer Components:
- Contacts and Cartridges: Use a lint-free cloth to gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges and corresponding contacts in the printer.
- Printhead: If possible, clean the printhead following the instructions in your printer manual or on the HP support website.
Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer firmware is up to date. You can find firmware updates on the HP support site for your printer model.
Check for Blockages: Ensure there are no paper jams or blockages inside the printer. Even small debris can cause errors.
Reset the Printer:
- Unplug the printer from the power source while it is turned on.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Run a Printer Diagnostic: Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to diagnose and resolve printer issues (you can download it here)
I hope this helps.
