Hi @Jan385
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It’s frustrating when everything seems fine, but the printer refuses to put ink on paper! Here are some steps to troubleshoot:
1. Check Ink Levels
- Open HP Smart or Printer Settings on your laptop.
- Navigate to Estimated Ink Levels and confirm both cartridges have ink.
2. Clean the Printhead
- On the printer’s control panel, swipe left and select Setup → Tools → Clean Printhead.
- Run the cleaning cycle and try printing again.
3. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
4. Remove and Reinstall Ink Cartridges
- Open the printer’s cartridge access door.
- Remove both cartridges, wait 30 seconds, and reinstall them securely.
5. Try a Different Print Test
- Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page:
- Swipe left on the printer’s display → Setup → Tools → Print Quality Report.
- If the page is blank, the issue may be with the cartridges.
6. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- HP regularly releases new firmware versions for printer enhancements, app updates, or issue fixes. Update the firmware regularly to get the most out of your printer.
- Click on the link below for instructions on how to update the firmware of your printer.
