I am trying to print things for my classroom. Nothing will print from my Chromebook. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer but it doesn’t make a difference.

I can print from the HP app on my iPhone,  but approximately the top two inches of material are cut off. When I run the diagnostic from the printer it still cuts off the top two inches. I have tried the following solutions:

unplug

hard reset

reconnect wireless

 update printer

Thank you for joining the HP Community

I suggest you do a Hard Reset on the printer

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Remove the ink cartridges close the door.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Then, put the cartridge back in.

Align the printer.

Aligning the ink cartridges correctly aligns the printhead with the printer. Align the printer from the printer control panel, then evaluate the results.

  1. Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

  3. Touch Tools.

  4. Swipe up on the display, then touch Align Printer.

    An alignment page prints.

  5. Wait for the alignment page to fully eject from the printer.

    NOTE:

Before a print job, the printer automatically extends the output tray extender. Do not push in the output tray extender until the print job is complete.

  6. Lift the scanner lid.

  7. Place the alignment page with the print side down on the scanner glass. Position it according to the engraved guides around the glass.

  8. Close the scanner lid, then touch OK

The printer aligns the ink cartridges.

  9. Try to print again.

As I mentioned in my original post, I have already tried a hard rest multiple times to no avail.
