HP ENVY Photo 7134 All-in-One Printer

My printer screen is stuck with the HP icon and won't respond at all.  Also the power button does nothing and the wifi light is not illuminated.  this has all happened since I had a power cut 2 days ago.  I have tried unplugging it several times but with no results.

Hi @William912,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this. A power cut can sometimes cause unexpected issues with HP printers, and your HP ENVY Photo 7134 All-in-One Printer being stuck on the HP logo with no response from the power button or touchscreen is a known issue. Let’s walk through the most effective recovery steps

Steps to Fix the Issue

1. Perform a Deep Power Drain Reset

This clears residual power and forces a hardware reinitialization.

  1. Unplug the printer from the wall and the back of the printer.
  2. Wait 2–3 minutes.
  3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds (while unplugged).
  4. Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector).
  5. Turn it on and observe if it gets past the boot screen.

2. Try a Hidden Button Combo Reset

Some HP printers respond to special button combinations:

  • Option A: Hold Power + Cancel (X) while plugging in the power cord.
  • Option B: Hold Power + Wireless + Cancel (X) for 10–15 seconds.
  • Release after a brief hold and wait; this may trigger a deeper reset.

3. Inspect for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  • Open the rear access panel, paper tray, and scanner lid.
  • Remove any jammed paper or debris.
  • Check the ink carriage area for anything blocking movement.

4. Update Firmware via USB (if it powers partially)

If the printer shows any signs of life:

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
