Laserjet Pro MFP M180N
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I have a Laserjet Pro MFP M180N an recently I wanted to print a photo for a friend. After sitting for about 3 months , it prints only black and yellow, no cyan and no magenta. The toner is at 60% in all cartdriges and they are HP originals. I carefully removed the chips (don't tell HP 😉 ) and interchanged the cartdriges (put the black chip on magenta and swaped cartdriges in the tray to fool the printer) to see if there is indeed toner in the tanks and it printed magenta and yellow. Same thing with the cyan.

To resume , the cartdriges are fine , toner is indeed at 60% but the printer doesn't print the two colors. Any help will be more than appreciated 🙂

In other words, you sent me straight to customer service:)

I was hoping for a more technical solution seeing that I went through every step of every troubleshooter I found online...

OK. So,

Step 1 : as I wrote , "The toner is at 60% in all cartdriges and they are HP originals. "

Step 2 :My printer IS NOT one of those series , it is M180N , as I mentioned in my post.

Like I said , it remains only Step 3 : contact HP customer support.

PS : I explained what I have tried and what is not working. Phisycally , my cartdriges are at 60 % and working if I swap the chips and the place in the tray. It's the printer that does not "command" magenta and cyan, although it sees the cartdriges.
