Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.
MKazi is at your service.
I understand that you have an HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer and when printing a 2 sided document, the resulting document is not properly centered on the page. Instead, the printing goes to the very end of the paper and cuts off some of what should be printed there. Not to worry, I'll be glad to assist you with this case.
To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this:
- What is the error message you get on the phone when you try printing?
- What is the paper size you're using?
- Is the normal printing (non 2 sided) working fine?
While you respond to that. I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
- Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
Following are the supported paper sizes for 2 sided printing by your HP printer:
- Letter; Legal; Executive.
Also, please perform the following steps from this HP document. These steps help in fixing various paper feed issues:
- Step 1: Check the paper, and then reload it.
- Step 2: Clean the paper rollers underneath the printer.
- Step 3: Clean the paper rollers inside the ink cartridge access area.
You may also try to update the firmware on the printer using the following steps:
- Go to
Setup on the printer.
- The select Tools >> Update the Printer >> Check Now.
Once the firmware update is complete, you may restart the printer.
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Keep me posted for further assistance.
All the best! 🙂
