I look on the document settings and they are correct paper size. It is an Avery template 4.25"x10" in Word format and it comes with the page setup formatting built in. I have printed these on this same printer before and I am loading the label correctly on the tray, reason why this leaves me so frustrated and powerless. I downloaded the driver this morning because the HP app was requiring me to login to be able to scan which is something it had never asked me to do. So by downloading the basic drivers I was again able to scan from the printer to the computer which is an ability I had lost since a while back, don't ask me why cause I don't have a clue. It seems like this new driver may have something to do with this because now I cannot print custom size labels. It keeps giving me the same retarded message. I honestly gave up of buying HP laptops due to poor quality on two previous laptop purchases. After that I have bought two laptops and an all in one computer and they are not HP. This is the last HP equipment I am still using and I'm starting to feel pretty annoyed by this. Any suggestions??? Why this was not a problem before and now it is?

If the printer printed this size before, it should do so again.
Yes, you need to have installed the Full Feature Software / full driver for the printer.
Use / reference / ignore the following as suitable to your situation...
Short view:
Load the paper
Tell the printer about the paper size / type
Set up the job and print
For those reading,
When installed, the full driver shows up in Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features
Look for the printer model name in the driver name.
