I was trying to print and the wifi button keeps blinking.  No error message on screen.  I was able to print a diagnostic but I don't understand it.

Hi @spidersue,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing issues with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29 printer, specifically with the Wi-Fi indicator blinking. This blinking could indicate a problem with the printer's wireless connection. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Make sure your printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi network.
  • Verify that your Wi-Fi network is operational and that other devices can connect to it.

Restart Printer:

  • Turn off your printer and then turn it back on after a minute. This can often resolve minor connectivity issues.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • Access your printer's control panel and navigate to the Wi-Fi settings.
  • Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password if prompted.
  • Ensure that the printer is successfully connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Update Firmware:

  • Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. If there are, download and install them.

Check for Interference:

  • Ensure that there are no electronic devices or obstacles that could be causing interference with the Wi-Fi signal.

Factory Reset (as a last resort):

  • If all else fails, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. Keep in mind that this will erase all custom settings, so you may need to reconfigure it.
  • The specific steps for a factory reset can vary depending on your printer model. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
