HP Deskjet 1050A All-in-One Printer - J410g
macOS 12.0 Monterey

Hi - I have had an HP Deskjet 1050A printer/scanner for 11 years and it's worked fine up until now.  I've used it with laptops (Windows) in the past and over the last few years with a Mac.  I've now got two new Macs (business + personal) and I am having issues printing from both.  I have set up the printer on both Macs and it shows as online (green) and when I select to print a document it suggests it is sending the print job to the printer, but then nothing happens.  I've tried unplugging, replugging, etc. but nothing works.  Is my printer just too old for my latest O/S (actually Sonoma 14.1 but that wasn't in the list above)?  My printer is not wireless so I am not able to use HP Smart or some of the other options suggested on the website, and the software drivers don't seem to be available any longer.  I'd hate to give up on my printer as it was working fine until my Mac upgrade, but if I need to invest in a new one so be it, I would just like to know if that is my only option.  Does anyone know please?  Thanks in advance.

You might try the following driver

https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1888?locale=en_US

The 1050 is supported, not sure about the 1050a

HP Deskjet 1050 J410 series2.3.2PS

It Sonoma cannot open the dmg then you will need Pacifist 4 to extract what is needed.
