HP Deskjet1510
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello all

My issue is, I have an HP2130 deskjet, I used to have an HP 1510, which I have removed form my system. However I keep getting a exclamation mark appearing on my task bar, informing me of updates for my HP1510. A trivial issue, I must admit, but somewhat irritating, as I don't know it's an update for the 1510 until I open the warning. How can I stop these warnings form appearing.

PS please remember when trying to help you will be replying to an IDIOT, so please try to explain accordingly

Thank You

@mfijohn

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
Let's delete the HP printer 1510 driver from Control Panel > Programs and Features > Right-click on the HP Deskjet 1510 and uninstall. Restart your PC and check if this works.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for posting back.

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:

Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers

  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP DeskJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
