Hi,
I have an OfficeJet 3833 and I am trying to print invitation cards. The cards are 5x7 and I set my MS Word Document to 5x7. I cut a normal paper down to 5x7 and measured correctly using the card to test out as the card are expensive.
In MS Word, I set the margin to 0, 1.....2 cm and it always - regardless prints on top.
I am really confused about why this is happening.
Please help

I think what is happening is not related to the margins - the printer supported smaller margins top/bottom/sides.
After taking a look at the Specs, the issue is perhaps that the printer simply does not support custom sizes in Windows and that your "5x7" inch paper is not one of the supported sizes for plain or card paper.
Exception: Photo paper is supported in 5x7 inches. The limitation is that you cannot just select photo paper unless you are actually using photo paper.
What to do?
Assuming what I read is indeed correct (and I didn't misinterpret the content):
- Use a different printer that provides the options you need,
- Consider printing your content on supported photo paper,
- Use a supported paper type / size (Yes, I know...)
One Example,
Reminder: Options vary by printer model
Word - Mix Content - Print 3x5 inch
