HP Envy 5640
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

Since I bought a HP Envy 5640 printer I have problems with it and I thought maybe you can help me! When I install the printer with all the drivers it works great, but a day or a few days later when I want to print from a (HP) laptop it says "User intervention required". Than I have to restart the printer or the laptop and sometimes it will than work. Otherwise I have to run the HP Print and Scan docotor (I guess it resets the printer spooler) and in the worst case I have to reinstall the drivers (while I'm sure I have the newest drivers and nothing is wrong with them). This is going on for years and I have tried other laptops giving the same problem. Also I moved in these years and now I'm trying a different router and differtent place in the house with the same result. The printer shows he has always a good Wifi connection and with the smartphone it never has any problem. Has anyone else have this problem as well and how can I permant fix it?

Kind regards,

Niels
