Hi @arteegee

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

I understand that the printer keeps saying " Out Of Paper " even-though you have papers inside.

I'd like to help.

Let's try a Printer Reset

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Try to print a Printer Status Report to make sure that the hardware functions correctly.

  1. Load plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display, and then touch the Setup icon ().

  3. Swipe the display, and then touch Reports.

  4. Touch Printer Status Report. The printer prints the report.

Keep me posted how it goes.

Thank you. 🙂

Thanks, Krazy Toad. I went throughall the steps you advised, andI am not experiencing the hangup. I am guessing there was an unknown obstruction in the paper feed mechanism which cleared when I flexe its muscles.

Hi,

as @KrazyToad is out of the office today, I'm replying to you.

I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job. I'm glad that the printer is fine now.

Happy printing! 🙂
