Hi @Sicily3

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you are facing issues with the network getting connected to your printer. I hear that you are stuck in the page which says" Validating Please wait". I would request you to please follow the below steps an revert with a screenshot if the issue persists.

Hard Power Reset

  • Keep the printer powered on.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the other end from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the cord back into a wall outlet directly (avoid surge protectors or extension cords).
  • Reconnect the cord to the printer.
  • Press the Power button to turn it back on.

Adjust Router Settings

  • Log into your router’s admin panel.
  • Ensure the printer connects to the 2.4 GHz band (HP printers often drop on 5 GHz).
  • Disable “Smart Connect” or “band steering” if your mesh system automatically switches devices between bands.
  • Reserve the printer’s static IP in the router’s DHCP settings.

Uninstall & Re install the HP App via link:  https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hp-print-and-support/id1474276998?mt=12

Reset Network Settings on Printer

  • On the touchscreen: Setup → Network → Restore Network Defaults.
  • Confirm reset, then restart the printer.
  • Reconnect using Wireless Setup Wizard (enter WiFi password carefully)
  •

Take care and have an amazing day!
