Hello, we just disconnected our HP Officeject Pro 8600 Plus(connected by wifi only) and are trying to get out new HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 online(wifi) but it is saying incorrect wireless password (wpa) entered. We know it's correct because we have other devices using that psw. We also tried getting it connected with the WPS button at the top of the router, the printer sees it but failed there also with this: an error occurred while trying to connect using wps. Any help would be greatly appreciated! THANKS Jack

If the printer (8620) is on the network, consider trying the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to set up the network SSID, WPA settings, and the WPA password.
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > Advanced
Example - Officejet Pro 8630 - EWS > Network > Wireless (802.11) > Advanced
HP_8630_EWS_Network_1C
Additional Information - Separate / Related
Example - Officejet Pro 8630 - EWS > Network > Wireless (802.11) > IPv4 Configuration
HP_8630_EWS_Network_Static_IP_1
The information does not resolve / prove whether the security password you are using is indeed correct, though using the keyboard on your computer might be helpful to type in and check the entry.
The first example includes the important setting to verify / adjust the encryption type.

Hey Dragon-Fur, that did not work so we ran an ethernet cable across the room to the printer and got it connected that way and then ran an update, once the update was complete, we disconnected the ethernet cable and it was able to connect to the network. Also, before that I had manually added the new printer to the router(name and mac address) so I think with the latest update and that, it connected and we are a go. THANKS so much for the quick response, Have a great weekend!

You are welcome.
Excellent outcome.
Personal Opinion / Comments
Years ago, I purchased one printer that was "wireless only". Nice printer; overall I did not care for the experience. Smiling. I believe that printers, like other devices in an office (at home or at work), should have the option to run via Ethernet. Sometimes the "wired" option is the only reasonable (or at least best) option to resolve connection weirdness (slowness, job or connection refusal, security, wakefulness, updates).
I hope that you will like the Pro 8620. Nice printer series, in my opinion. I have had a much loved Officejet Pro 8630 for a number of years (connected in the office via Ethernet and available on wireless for "floating" mobile devices); the printer still works quite well, in fact. Had I not recently decided to replace it with a shiny new Officejet Pro 9025, I would still have the 8630 up and running.
Happy Printing.
