ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer series
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I have a Macintosh laptop that is using an HP Envy 4520 all in one printer, and it is unfortunately out of warranty, but not working properly, which makes it difficult to get support....

The device is not old or worn out, and has been kept clean / stationary since purchase, so there is nothing that should be causing it to print funny, but it is not aligned correctly for some reason, and I cannot get it to realign using the utilities provided. When I go to contact support,  it checks my Serial Number / Product Number, and then redirects me back to these forums, telling me that my warranty expired last September.

Is that it, if my warranty expired I cannot contact support for anything?? So what, I have to keep renewing my warranty for the life of the printer in order to get any support besides the forums?? That almost sounds like a racket of some kind that HP has going on with their products.

If the printer you paid us for is not working, but the warranty has expired, you are basically on your own??

That seems ridiculous, if not criminal, and will lead me to NEVER buy anything from Hewlett Packard again  in my life....

In any case, maybe someone here can help me, although it is a little late now as my presentation is this morning.

My ink is a little low, but not critical as yet, and I am using the correct paper for the device, but my sentences are being cut in two when it prints a document. Like a line running down the center of the words.

I thought this was a problem with alignment, but using the HP Utility application did not fix it.

Does this device just print terribly unless you have 2 full ink cartridges, and that is just it, or is there a reason why it is starting to do a terrible job of printing out documents??

You know what, this cannot help me, I guess I will just have to lose my job over this piece of garbage printer, because getting a response later is too late for me now. I should have NEVER trusted anything made by Hewlett Packard I guess!!
