Fresh install of Windows 11 on a PC that fully meets all hardware requirements. (OS is Other The OS Picklist has not been updated).
I downloaded HPEasyStart-13.0.6-OJP9010_49_9_4593_1_Webpack, which the HP website says is the correct one to support the OfficeJet Pro 9010 series printers on Windows 11. The program appears to run normally through the point where it finds the printer in question. The next step is "Checking your software needs...". It hangs there indefinitely. I have let it run for over an hour and it's never gotten past this.
I have restarted the computer and cleared the %temp% folder to no avail.

I had the same issue on Windows 10. I have had to do work-arounds ever since HP came out with their " Smart Apps". Here is the convoluted path I took to get it to work:
1) Download the FULL install from HP's site. Normally 3 or 4 down the list. It will be a larger size.
2) Run the program. If it 'Circles' indefinitely, cancel the install.
3) Go to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp\ and find the most recent folder created. It's name was a 7Zip derivative (7zxxxxx).
4) Manually run the "HP-DQEX5.exe" & "OJP90x64.msi". Basically running enough of the install to see the HP OfficeJet programs show up in the Start Menu.
5) Run the HP OfficeJet program in the Start Menu. It won't have installed correctly, but you can choose to "add new printer". This installed correctly for me.

The solution provided by @AEGISolutions worked for me.
I really do not understand why HP makes the things so complicated!
A huge installation software, 400MB almost, and it is useless because we must use hocus pocus magic spells to get it in work!
