Hi @Legaleagle48,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the error message "There is a problem with the printhead Event Code: 62.80.26" on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer indicates that there is a specific issue with the printhead. The printhead is a critical component responsible for delivering ink to the paper, and problems with it can affect print quality or prevent printing altogether.

Here are some potential causes and solutions for this error:

  • Printhead Cartridge Issues: The printhead might not be seated correctly, or there could be an issue with the ink cartridges. Make sure the cartridges are properly installed and aligned.
  • Clogged Printhead: Sometimes the printhead can become clogged with dried ink or debris. You can try running the printer's cleaning cycle to clear any blockages. This option is usually found in the printer's maintenance settings.
  • Printhead Connection: Ensure that the printhead is properly connected to the printer. If it seems loose, carefully remove and reinstall it.
  • Firmware/Software Issues: Outdated firmware or software issues can sometimes cause errors. Check for any available updates for your printer's firmware and drivers.
  • Physical Damage: Inspect the printhead and surrounding area for any visible damage. Physical issues might require professional repair or replacement of the printhead.
  • Printer Reset: Perform a hard reset of your printer by turning it off, unplugging it from the power source, waiting for a minute, and then plugging it back in and turning it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
