My printer stopped in the middle of printing and started flashing "Error code OXB8D43536". What does this mean? I can't find any information about it anywhere and HP's customer support is literally nonexistent.

Hi @DVikoren,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code "OXB8D43536" on your HP OfficeJet 5212 All-In-One Printer can be frustrating, especially when there's limited information available. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.
Restart the Printer
- Power Cycle: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on. This can sometimes reset the error state.
Check for Paper Jams
- Inspect for Obstructions: Open all accessible areas of the printer to check for any paper jams or foreign objects. Remove any found obstructions carefully.
Update Printer Firmware
- Firmware Update: Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Go to the HP Support website, enter your printer model, and check for any available firmware updates. Download and install them as instructed.
Check Ink Cartridges
- Ink Cartridges: Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed. Remove and reinsert them to ensure they are seated correctly. If they are low or empty, consider replacing them.
Reset the Printer
- Factory Reset: Perform a factory reset of your printer. Refer to your printer’s manual for the specific steps to do this, as it can vary between models.
Check for Driver Issues
- Driver Reinstallation: Sometimes, reinstalling the printer drivers can help. Uninstall the current drivers, then go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
