I'm printing pictures and my pictures has lines across it.

If you’re seeing lines across your printed photos with your HP Envy Inspire 7258e, this is often due to issues like clogged or misaligned printheads. Here are some steps to troubleshoot.

 

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your ink cartridges are adequately filled. Low ink levels can cause poor print quality and streaks.

Run Printhead Cleaning:

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings or Maintenance.
  • Look for the option to Clean Printhead or Clean Cartridges. This will help clear any clogs.
  • Run the cleaning process and check if the lines are reduced. You may need to repeat the cleaning a few times.

Align the Printhead:

  • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance on the control panel.
  • Select Align Printhead and follow the instructions to complete the alignment process.

Print a Diagnostic Page:

  • Access the printer’s Settings menu.
  • Select Reports > Print Quality Report. This diagnostic page can reveal specific issues with individual colors or alignment.

Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges: Non-genuine cartridges can sometimes cause print quality issues. HP printers perform best with genuine HP ink cartridges.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Use the HP Smart app or your computer to see if there are any available firmware updates for your printer. Updates often include fixes for printing issues.


After completing these steps, try printing a picture again to see if the issue is resolved.
