Hi @Laurita3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is printing text or images too small, there are a few common reasons and solutions to consider.

Check Print Settings:

  • Ensure that the print settings are correct for the document. In your printer driver settings or the printing software (like HP Smart or your word processor), make sure the scaling is set to 100% or "Actual Size."
  • If you’re using custom settings or specific paper sizes, ensure they match the document settings in your software.

Page Scaling in Software:

  • In the print dialog box of your application (e.g., Word, Adobe Acrobat), check the "Page Scaling" or "Fit to Page" option. If set to "Fit to Page," it might shrink the document to fit onto a specific paper size.

Printer Settings (Margins):

  • Ensure that the correct paper size is selected both in the printer settings and in the document you're trying to print. Incorrect paper size selection may result in small prints if the document is scaled to fit the wrong size.
  • Check the printer's margin settings to ensure they're set appropriately.

Driver Issues:

  • Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. You can update or reinstall the drivers using the HP support website or the HP Smart app.

Check Document Zoom:

  • Verify the zoom settings in the document. For example, in Word or PDF viewers, a high zoom percentage could make the print look smaller when printed. Ensure it's set to 100%.

Check for Paper Size Mismatch:

  • Verify that the paper size settings in the printer software match the actual size of paper you are using (e.g., A4, Letter).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
