OfficeJet 3830 All in one printer
iOS 12 - 12.0.1

I couldn’t find the board for OfficeJet.

I’m sure this has been asked many times, but I’m very agitated now. This is my second printer with HP here in my apartment. My printer is printing blank pages. I’ve tried all troubleshooting that there is.

EDIT: I’m reading this can be if I don’t use the printer for a long period. That’s ridiculous in my opinion. So you’re telling me I’ll need to buy new cartridges?

A warm welcome to HP Community! I'd like to help.

Does it happen when you copy a document?

Could you also print a print quality test report and let me know the result. In order to print the report:

1.) On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

2.) Touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report.

Yes, it happens when I make a copy as well. Remember that I haven't used my printer often, but if I get new ink or printer I'll use it at least once a month.

EDIT: I tried to make a copy in color and it worked. My black cartridge shouldn't be empty. Any help?

Power resetting the printer and then performing an automated/manual cleaning may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector

2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door

3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)

4) Clean the ink cartridges, refer to step 3 from this document.

5) Plug the power cord back into the printer

6) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.

7) On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

😎 Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges. Touch OK for a Second-level Cleaning when prompted to continue the next level of cleaning.

Let me know how it goes!

I have done everything you mentioned to do just now. As for cleaning, the other day I took a paper towel over the black cartridge.

I tried printing today from my Mac with a few words on the package, black and white, and blank page still. I’ve called HP and they won’t send me a new black ink cartridge to see if that fixes it unless I put a credit card or debit card down. Please remember that this issue also happened with my other HP printer and that I don’t print often which could be the issue. HP sent me a replacement printer which is the one that has the issue now.

I'm afraid, this situation requires some additional support from our internal teams within HP. I've sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.
Could you please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
Have a great day!
