I have turned my printer off and turned it back on the orange information light is still on. Why is the orange information light on? How do I get it to turn off?

Hi @Country84,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

If your HP DeskJet 2755 All-in-One Printer is showing an orange information light after turning it off and back on, it typically indicates a problem that needs attention. Here are a few steps to resolve the issue:

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams inside the paper tray, paper path, or around the ink cartridge area.
  • Remove any stuck paper or debris and ensure the paper is correctly aligned in the tray.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Open the cartridge access door and ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed.
  • If they are not seated correctly, remove and reinsert the ink cartridges.
  • Make sure there’s no protective tape left on a new cartridge.
  • Close the door and check if the orange light clears.

Check Printer Connection:

  • If the printer is connected wirelessly, check your Wi-Fi connection.
  • Ensure that the Wi-Fi light on the printer is solid blue. If it's blinking, the printer may have lost the connection, and you need to reconnect it using the HP Smart app or by pressing the Wi-Fi button on the printer for 3 seconds.

Perform a Power Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds and then plug it back in and power it on.
  • Check if the orange information light turns off.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if your printer has any pending firmware updates. You can use the HP Smart app to update the printer’s firmware if required.

If the orange light persists after these steps, it may indicate a more specific issue. The HP Smart app or printer software may provide additional details or error messages that can help narrow down the problem.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
