Hi @Gab48,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The blinking Wi-Fi symbol on your HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer typically indicates that the printer is either not connected to a wireless network or is in setup mode, searching for a network to join. Here are some steps to diagnose and fix the issue.
Check the Network Status
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is active and working correctly. Verify other devices can connect to the network.
Restart Devices
- Printer: Turn the printer off, wait for 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
- Router: Restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.
Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi
- If the printer has lost its connection:
- On the printer, press and hold the Wireless Button (or Wi-Fi icon) until the Wi-Fi light blinks.
- Open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.
- Follow the prompts to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
Printer in Wi-Fi Setup Mode
- If the printer is new or reset, it may be in setup mode.
- Check if the Power button light blinks.
- Within 2 hours of setup mode activation, use the HP Smart app to add the printer.
- If setup mode times out, reset the printer:
- Press and hold the Cancel and Wireless buttons together for 3 seconds. This resets the network settings.
Update Printer Firmware
- If the connection issue persists, ensure the printer firmware is up-to-date.
- Open the HP Smart app > Select your printer > Check for firmware updates.
Check for Interference
- Ensure the printer is close to the router (within 6 feet or 2 meters) and not obstructed by walls or electronic devices that can interfere with the signal.
Factory Reset (If Necessary)
- If none of the above works:
- Turn off the printer.
- Hold the Power button and press the Cancel button 6 times.
- Release the buttons. The printer will restart in its factory default state.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
