As above. The printer stopped printing as the colour cartridges are empty but the black still has ink left in it. Can I get it to print in black only without having to buy replacement cartridges? Strange that all the colour cartridges bece low at the same time. Funny that.

Due to the design of the product, no you cannot print black only when color is depleted. This is to prevent possible damage to the print head if air bubbles get into the system, which can happen if using empty cartridges.

Hi and thanks for your reply. Is it possible to use ink cartridges that were sent to another person for another printer for the Instant Ink plan?

I have been made aware that you can reset these printers and if you disable Internet connectivity they should function normally. Is that correct?

No,

HP Instant Ink cartridges can only be used on the specific printer enrolled in the plan, not on other printers.

And this is incorrect, HP Instant Ink cartridges only work with an internet connection, these will not work without an active internet connection.
