HP Office Jet Pro 8715
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Office jet 8715 can use 953 or 953 XL cartridges and currently has a Black 953 XL and standard size 953 s for the three colours. There doesn't look to be enough space to install 4 XL size cartridges.

Or am I missing something.

Thanks

They will fit. Only black 953XL is wider in size than standard black 953.

Colour ink cartridges C, M and Y are the same size in standard and XL yield.

I have a 8715 and it does not take 953 cartridges.

It takes 4 of the 952 or 952XL.

Yes, you can fit all 4 HP 952XL ( not 953)  ink cartridges.

The Officejet 8700 series printers will accept either standard or XL cartridges.  As @Valsimot mentions the color standard and XL cartridges are physically the same size, the XL cartridges have more ink.

The 953 vs. 952 confusion is caused by the printer's regionalization, the printer uses different cartridges in different regions.   @Jivingjenks is in Europe where the correct cartridge for the Officejet Pro 8715 is the 953 or 953XL series.  In the US, where @B_Will resides, the correct series are the 952 or 952XL.  For other regions see the document here for correct cartridges for your area.
