Product: HP Photosmart 6525
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Will an XL Black ink cartridge work with standard color cartridges? I can not get my black ink to print. All other colors will print. The black cartridge is an XL. Would that make a different?

Yes, you can mix them given they are same numbers. XL cartridge has more ink inside but physically same size.

Would you know a reason why the black cartridge is the only one that will not print? All other colors will. The black cartridge is 3/4 full.

That is a good question and I believe HP is trying to address this. One thing I know they are different chemicals.
