Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support community!
Below is the list of supported Paper Types and Sizes for the HP Envy photo 7855 printers.
The printer does not support the 3.5" x 6" paper size.
You can refer to this link for more information.
But you can try creating a custom paper size and check if that works.
Follow the steps below to create a custom paper size.
- Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
- Select Create a new Form
- Select the photo paper size.
- on the bottom of the form enter the width, height specifications, etc.
- Rename the form
- Click OK.
- Open the file and click on print.
- In the print preset window, select the custom paper size that you have created
- Try to print

Thanks for the reply, but it does not answer my question. I cannot create the paper size using your instructions as I am a Mac user not Windows (My bad, I should have included this in the post.). That being said, I have already created the 3.5 x 6 paper size in MS Word and I will rephrase my question.
The paper tray on the 7855 appears that it accomodates 8.5 x 11 to A4 accordin to the legend. However, the paper guides close down to 3.5". So, can the printer feed a 3.5" sheet? If not, what is the minimum width the paper tray can process? I would like to print on 3.5 x 6, but I could also live with 4.25 x 6.75 or 5 x 7.
Thanks for your help with this.

As per the specifications mentioned in this link, the custom sizes supported by the printer are 3.85"X8.5" to 5"X14".
So the minimum paper width supported is 3.85" as per the specifications.
Here is a video link that helps you create custom paper sizes on MAC OS X.
Let me know if this helps.
Cheers!
