HP Photosmart 7515
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Installed windows 10. Now when I click on the icom for HP Photosmart 7515 in my dell dock that worked for windows 7 Home version it ask me to install a new printer. How can I get the icon to work the same for windows 10 as it did for windows 7.

Hello,

 

please try the below steps...

 

 

 

uninstall the existing printer software from Program and features.

restart the pc.

Download and run Hp Printer install Wizard from www.hp.com/go/tools

Hi phs73,

 

It sounds like you might need to install the driver for Windows 10.  My suggestion would be to disconnect the printer VIA usb (If that is your connection method) and remove any installed software for your printer from Add/Remove programs and Devices and Printers.  Both of these can be found in the Control Panel. Next, reinstall your drivers by going to hp.com/drivers or by following this link: 7515 drivers. For further information, look at this document: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04714314.
