I am increasingly convinced that my HP printer will never work in Windows 10 (64 bit).
I am in my third day of repeatedly uninstalling, downloading HP Photosmart and Officejet Full Feature Software and Drivers, and endlessly rebooting to try to get ALL IN ONE completely installed only to continually encounter
Fatal error during installation C:\....Local\Temp\7zS2936\hpzsetup.exe -wStub 1836654
HP Photosmart 2610v All-in-One Printer Model #: 6543 Serial #: MY48CD57KN
I was one of the first to report the flash player update problem and have the new update installed.
Today I went to View Windows Update History and found that
Hewlett-Packard driver update for HP Photosmart 2600 Failed to install on several occasions
This driver was provided by Hewlett-Packard for support of HP Photosmart 2600
clicking on More info links to
http://sysdev.microsoft.com/en-US/Hardware/support/default.aspx
which says
Driver Information: Coming Soon Thank you for using Windows Update.
The More information feature is not available yet. We apologize for any inconvenience.
I suspect this was generated as a solution by either the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows
or the HPProduct Support Website during one of my re-install troubleshooting attempts,
I'd like to find a way to get another attempt to load the update but find a path to do that.

Windows Update History shows driver update provided by HP failed to install on 1/23 and 1/28/2016. Clicked on More info and it said Driver Information: Coming Soon. Thank you for using Windows Update. The More information feature is not available yet. We apologize for any inconvenience.
I'm not complaining, because I finally got my Photosmart 2600 working both on local area network from ipad and via usb from laptop in the Windows 10 64 bit environment. And I was able to kill the repititious failure of Photoessential to install after being left out in the current HP driver set.
I've been looking for a connection to another problem since I have been plagued by intermittant connection problems isolated to the Windows PC only after getting the HP 2600 working. It even seems specific to Internet Explorer (which I prefer over the spyware called Microsoft Edge). While Chrome connections to http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/timer.html refresh instantly in most instances, Internet Explorer fails frequently even when Road Runner speed test clocks at 23 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up.
Internet Explorer: This page can’t be displayed; One or more network protocols are missing; Chrome: This webpage is not available err_connection_timed_out;
According to one forum, I may be the 1,601st person to complain about this error and cast suspicion on 64 bit Windows 10. However, I'm guessing the troubleshooter concludes that a protocol is missing whenever the network connection is slow, unavailable, or interrupted. I'll put a date of inception on my persistent failures as 01/23/2016 in case it relates to an 1/28/2016 update (KB3124262) or 1/320 driver update provided by Intel Corporation for support of Intel(R) HD Graphics Family. Besides rebooting cable modem and router, changing cables and router ports, disabling IPV6 in the adaptor, I tried some of the recommended protocol remedies, [e.g. netsh int ipv4 install and re-setting tcp stack: netsh int ip reset c:\resetLog.txt ]. All to no avail,
I am convinced that simply rebooting (which is required by those procedures) is just as effective to temporarily restore connectivity. But nothing prevents recurrence over time.
