HP Officejet 7500A
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Help! I've been using the HP Officejet 7500A for over a year wirelessly connected to my computer using wifi when suddenly it has lost connection and cannot connect anymore. I've restarted everything. (Computer, Printer, Wifi). I've entered the wifi password manually and used WPS button to no avail. I even found an old USB cable and hard connected it to my computer and tried to run the wizard to connect wirelessly. But it won't connect. Any ideas as to how I can fix the problem?

Thanks

I think I have it figured out. It was a Wi-Fi issue. I have a Wi-Fi extender. The printer was seeing both routers as the same name and getting confused. I change the name of one of them and this fixed the issue.

Is the blue light near the printer's wireless button lit?

Run the Wireless Network Test report, any errors listed?

The blue WiFi light is lit. But I haven’t run the error report yet.

Two things that I’ve noticed when printing the wireless network test report. One, under security it says fail. And two, it says that it’s detecting other networks and gives me a message about the HP printer may connect to the wrong wireless network. I’m not sure what to do from here…

Do you see many SSID's with the same name?

Is your router firmware up to date?
