When i print a document from word the print doen't come out like it should.

In Word the pictures and text are exactly in the middle of the page but when i print the output is not in the middle of the page.

And a part of the picture isn't even printed.

HP Printers, like other brands of printers, depend on several factors to print as expected, including (and not limited to):

  • Having the full driver printer software installed for the printer (Operating System version Dependent)
  • Printer must support the paper size / type and printer must be aware of the paper size / type loaded in the tray
  • Configuration settings for the paper size / type must be correctly adjusted - care must be taken to not print outside what the printer can do.  For example, HP Deskjet printers might require a larger margin along the bottom edge.

More...

Some paper sizes and settings simply do not produce the desired results.

For example,

If the paper supported for duplex / booklet but that paper is "smaller", the margins might be skewed beyond what is expected (not centered).

==================================================================

Images tend to skew / crop / mis-align or miss the correct position if they have been "copy / pasted" into the document as opposed to using the required "Insert" and possibly "Size and Position" editing.

"Fix the image" as it appears in your Word Document

If you do not already have a copy of the image file, create a file from the image in your Word document.

Open your Word document

Right-Click on the Image

Use "Save-As" and save the image as a .jpg file on your computer.

Pay attention to the folder in which you save the file...

Use Insert > Pictures and insert the image file into your Word document.

Right-Click on the image (after it is placed in the document)

Adjust the Size and Position to move the image inside the document boundaries.

==================================================================

HP Printers -- "Scale" in Word document can cut / impact the way the document is printed.

Trouble with labels and possibly with other documents that include mixed content types:

Document Scale

There is a setting in Word that will "scale" a document for Letter / A4 paper.

If you are having alignment issues with your document (for example, labels), UNCHECK this setting.

When printing directly from within Word

Setup:

Word > FileOptions > Advanced

In Section Print (about 2/3 of the way down)

UNCHECK "Scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11" paper sizes

Click OK to save changes

=================================================

Example,

One simple and general Example - Word - 3x5" card - mixed content

Word_Test_3X5_card_Portrait_2Word_Test_3X5_card_Portrait_2
