@Dwayne-2, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
That message usually appears when there’s an issue with your HP account that's linked to HP+ or Instant Ink services. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and resolve it:

Check HP Account Login

  • Go to my.hp.com and log in with the same account linked to your printer.
  • Look for any alerts, subscription issues, or payment problems—especially if you're enrolled in HP+ or Instant Ink.

Update Printer Connection

  • Make sure your printer is connected to the internet.
  • From the printer screen, tap the Wi-Fi icon and verify it’s connected.
  • If it’s offline, reconnect it to Wi-Fi.

Sign In Again on the Printer

  • On the printer screen:
    • Tap Setup (gear icon) → HP Account or Web Services.
    • If signed out, sign in again using your HP account credentials.
    • If signed in, try signing out, then signing back in.

Check Web Services

  • Go to Settings > Web Services on the printer.
  • If it shows errors, try the following:
    • Disable Web Services, then enable it again. This refreshes the cloud connection.

Update Firmware

  • Outdated firmware may cause account verification problems:
    • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer.

HP Smart App Troubleshooting

  • On your phone or computer, open the HP Smart app:
    • Make sure you're signed into the same HP account.
    • Add the printer again if needed.
    • Check for alerts or messages related to account or ink subscription.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
