HP Officejest Pro 8600 e-all-in-one Printer - N911a
Other

Is it worth repairing a $400 HP Officejet Pro 860 e-all-in-one Printer - N911a.  I purchased it in Aug. 2012 and it has worked beautifully and it just stopped working last week.  After following all of the HP steps of clearing the Paper Jam error message,   the printer will not reset.  I can not get through to a support person to just answer my question.  I called an authorized HP repair service HP recommended and they said they don't work on Office jets.

I have heard from a salesperson  who told me that 8 years for a printer was great and that all the printers that are made now coming from HP  are not built to last as long as the one I have.  I am not someone who has the funds to purchase a printer every 4-5 years.

Please advise.  What could be wrong with this printer and how much would it cost IF it is the printer head is the problem?

Welcome to the HP support community.

Could you explain more about the issue you are facing with the printer so that I can help you better?
