I'm sorry to hear that the suggested fix didn't resolve the issue with your HP ENVY Photo 7855. Let's try a few additional steps to address the blue screen code 00829c98:

 

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait for 60 seconds.
  3. Plug it back in and turn it on.

2. Reset to Factory Defaults

  1. On the printer's control panel, navigate to Settings.
  2. Go to Printer Maintenance or Service.
  3. Select Restore or Restore Factory Defaults.
  4. Confirm the reset.

3. Update Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. Visit the HP Support Website.
  2. Search for your printer model: HP ENVY Photo 7855.
  3. Download and install any available firmware updates for your printer.

4. Check for Obstructions

  1. Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
  2. Make sure there are no bits of paper stuck inside.

5. Reinstall Printer Software

  1. Uninstall the printer software from your computer.
  2. Download the latest software from the HP Support Website.
  3. Install the software and follow the setup instructions.

6. HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to troubleshoot and fix any issues.
