HP 7612
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I have a HP 7612 printer / scanner. I am trying to print borderlees on both A4 and A3 papers. When i go to printing preferences, I can only associate ,,Borderless printing"  form the down right corner menu with ,,A3 - small margin" paper size, for example, and photo papers from HP or other photo papers. If i try to select Borderless printing - A3 - small margin - Plain paper, it shows me a  ,,Incompatible printing settings" menu. It is the same thing with A4 paper. To sum up, I can only print borderless if i choose photo paper. Can u tell me how to print borderless on plain paper? Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Borderless prints are designed for Photo paper.  Having said that, there is nothing to prevent you from selecting Photo and putting Plain paper into the tray.

The printout may not be optimum though, since Photo does uses more ink to create the "vibrancy" on the printout.

Thanks.

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunatelly it doesn't solve my problem. I allready tried using regular paper,  but the results are awfull. The images are blurry and faded. Also, every printed page has a black line and a fold in the same place (probably because the paper is too ,,wet" ). This happened using 80g / mp paper. Do you think that using higher density paper could be the solution, and if so, what density? Thank you.

Hi @kudostyle13

Try using the thicker paper (e.g. HP Brochure matte 180gsm).

It's not so much of using a thinker paper than the quality of the paper.

Hope that helps!
