I lost the yellow HP set up cartridge.  HP support could not help me & told me I would need to but a new printer.  I cannot believe HP will not sell a new setup cartridge for people like myself who accidentally lost it.  The printer is BRAND NEW.  Anyway a friend found a youtube video showing how to bypass setup cartridges and it worked.  I am so disappointed HP doesn't openly tell people there is a simple solution to activate printers when set up cartridges are missing.

I have sent you a private message with the steps to bypass the setup ink message which is specific to your printer. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

I had already found a solution on YouTube.   Why won't HP tell give the answer openly?  It should not be a secret.

And, customer support should be able to quickly inform us of a bypass method, instead of telling us to " get a new printer".

Answer, go to set up menu, system config., enable something, back to home, hard shut down  and restart..
