Hi,
I have been given a Photosmart c8100 which is about 7 years old.
Fitted new inks and it works.
Where can I find a driver/software for Windows XP 32 bit?
I did find the Instruction Manual and downloaded it.
Thanks

Hi! @YorkyRob, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you need full feature printer drivers for your Windows XP PC.
Don't worry I'd like to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
As you mentioned you need full feature printer drivers for your Windows XP PC.
I did some research and found the full feature printer drivers for your printer.
Please update the full feature printer software using this link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software10/COL19845/mp-52268-5/100_228_PS_AIO_02_Full_Net_enu_NB.exe
Also, update other drivers on your printer using this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-photosmart-c8100-all-in-one-printer-series/32047...
If you have any issues after installing the drivers you can try installing windows built-in drivers and check if it helps.
After the printer software uninstallation install Deskjet 990c drivers for Devices and Printers on your PC and check if it helps.
Install the built-in print driver over a wireless or wired (Ethernet) network connection on a computer with Windows 10 or Windows 8.
Search Windows for devices, and then click Devices and Printers in the list of results.
Click Add a printer.
Select printer is not in the list, continue to the next step.
Click Next.
Select the port to be used by your printer, such as 'USB001' for a USB connected printer, and then click Next.
Click Windows Update, and then wait for the print drivers to update.
Click HP, Hewlett-Packard, or Hewlett Packard in the Manufacturer pane select Deskjet 990C driver and click next to install the printer driver.

Hi Mr. Robot,
Thank you for that.
No, I didn't change anything on the printer - simply loaded inks, did a copy or 2 and then then plugged into my XP.
It was originally linked to a Mac G4 Quicksilver running OS X.
Will let you know how I get on.
Cheers,
Rob.

Hi,
The first link worked fine and the printer is up and running:smileyvery-happy:
The second link simply went to the HP page which says; no downloads.
A small problem, according to my computer, the C8100 does not support printing disc labels.
In theory, the c8100 will print them using the touch screen. In practice, it didn't.
A little more help if you would be so kind.
Thanks,
Rob.

@YorkyRob, thanks for your quick response and time.
I appriciate your efforts for writing back to us.
As you mentioned the steps suggested in my previous thread solved your issue.
I'm happy to know that your issue got resolved. Also, as you needed to know how to print disc labels from your printer.
Please try the steps recommended below.
Load a CD/DVD in the LightScribe-enabled CD/DVD drive The HP All-in-One enables you to: • Save photos onto a CD/DVD. This is known as burning a CD/DVD. • Read the contents of a CD/DVD so you can view and print photos from the control panel on the HP All-in-One or transfer the photos to a connected computer. • Add a text label to a LightScribe-compatible CD/DVD. The instructions for loading a CD/DVD vary, depending on what you want to do with the disc. Both sets of instructions are included here. To load a CD/DVD in the CD/DVD drive for burning or reading
1. Open the CD/DVD drive.
2. Load a single CD or DVD with the label side up.
3. Close the CD/DVD drive. Load a CD/DVD
To load a CD/DVD in the CD/DVD drive for LightScribe disc labeling
1. Open the CD/DVD drive.
2. Load a single LightScribe-compatible CD or DVD with the label side down. NOTE: LightScribe disc labeling only works with LightScribe-compatible media.
3. Close the CD/DVD drive.
Refer the printer user guide to know more information about printing labels from your printer.
Note: Refer page 71 for more information. Link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01178488
