I'm trying to instal and run an HP Photosmart C6280 printer in Windows 10 64-bit,.
The installation starts but then I get a message telling me my operating system is not supported - in fact, nothing after Windows 2000.
Surely there must be a software upgrade that lets this printer run on Windows 10? But whenever I search I get nowhere.
Can anyone help please, or is this printer just wasting my time because it will ever work sith Win 10?
Thanks.

Hmm... I have seen cases where I need to refresh the page to clear errors on the support pages. At any rate, the link here is a more direct link to the download you need. If for some reason that does not work the link here is a direct link to the installation file: PS_AIO_02_NetWired_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe

There is a full feature driver for Windows 10 x64 for the Photosmart c6280 available for download from HP here.
The installer that says it does not support beyond Windows 2000 is probably from the CD that came with the printer.

Thanks Bob, much appreciated.
I had found that page before but when I select Win 10 64-bit it gives the following message:
"We were unable to retrieve the list of drivers for your product. Please select the desired operating system and select “Update” to try again."
However, there is no "update" button or link to click. I tried refreshing the page, but that doesn't help... that's why I was wondering if this printer just won't work under Win 10.
Any other ideas? am I ddoing something wrong?

I am glad you got the issue resolved.
I find cable issues to be the worst as they are always the last thing I would expect. I now cut the end off bad cables, just so I do not end up throwing them back in the box and having the issue again later.
