Welcome to HP forums, I see that you are getting connectivity issues on the printer.
- What's the make and model of your WiFi router?
- Do you have any antivirus software installed on your Mac?
- Do you have a guest network enabled on your WiFi router?
- Approximately how far is the printer located from the WiFi router?
Meanwhile, try the below steps to fix this issue:
Restore network defaults on the printer
Select setup menu> Network setup> Restore Network Defaults.
Then connect the printer back to the WiFi network using Network Setup Wizard.
Select setup menu> Network setup> Wireless Setup Wizard> Follow on screen
instructions.
Make sure both printer and Mac are connected to the same network.
Add the printer using Airprint
Refer this HP document for the steps to add the printer:- Click here
Let me know if that works.

Thanks Sandy! I did all the steps you outlined with no success this time, but it has worked in the past. I have had trouble with this printer for years, so think it might need replaced. Same and different issues. The router is Verizon’s, printer is on desk by router.
thank you!
