I really hope someone here can help me. I'm using the HP Deskjet 3054 (-J610a), an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier, an a MacBook with OSX 10.7.5. I've downloaded all the available software and updates from HP. As I walked through the installation process, at the very end it told me that I needed to set up a Print Queue for the printer and that I could get the software from Apple for this. So I clicked the button to say yes and get the software from Apple. But every time I do this (bunches of times) it tells me Apple doesn't have the software, I need to get it from HP. But I can't find anything on the HP website that I haven't already downloaded.
Is there a driver or something that I'm missing somewhere? When I click on the "software and drivers" link above and find my printer, it lists everything I've already downloaded and nothing more.
I'm really stuck. My printer won't print wirelessly or via USB until I get this software. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
Many thanks,
Lori

If you still see any issues once installing the package posted by Printdoc above you may also try the latest full software for your OS:
If any of those still fails with such an error try resetting the printing system and check for any difference then:
*Be aware that resetting the printer system will remove any existing print queue and reset any customized driver settings.
Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences .
Select Print & Scan.
Right-click (or Ctrl + click) your product in the Printers list in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system .
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user Name and Password .
Click OK . The printing system resets.
Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.

Thanks! Exactly what I needed and now it's working!
Would be fabulous if there were a link to this from the product page, or if the installation instructions told users to go to Apple support and search for the driver instead of automatically trying to download it and getting an error every time. Would have saved hours of stress.
Really appreciate your help.

I was having the same issue with my OSX 10.10 MacBook Pro.. I could not find the driver anywhere. I found this solution. When adding your HP Deskjet 3054 J610a All-in-one printer, select the "HP Deskjet 3070 B611 Series" driver. It works just fine! Hope it works for you.
