No error messages.  Lap top, monitor, printer, router and lamp all shut down.  Flipped switch in Breaker box.  All are in same room but not on same surge protector.  Different outlets.

I am suspicious of printer.  Anyone else have problem with this inkjet? Often happens at night, when not in use, but not exclusively.

Different outlets does not mean it is not on the same circuit. I have seen wiring jobs where a light on one end of a house is tied to the same breaker as the garage lights. You may have another device that is tripping or you could have a weak breaker. I do not think I have ever seen an inkjet pop a breaker as the current draw is too low and 99% of external power supplies used with inkjet printers would stop working before they blew a breaker.
