Hi @stellaaurielle,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Deskjet 2541 All-In-One Printer is experiencing issues with all lights blinking and is not being detected when connected via USB, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
-
Check Hardware Connections:
- Ensure that the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
- Make sure the power cable is properly connected to the printer and a working power source.
-
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug the power cable, and wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cable back in and turn on the printer.
-
Check USB Port and Cable:
- Try using a different USB port on your computer.
- If possible, try using a different USB cable to eliminate the possibility of a faulty cable.
-
Reinstall the Printer Drivers:
- Uninstall the existing printer drivers on your computer.
- Download and install the latest drivers for your printer from the official HP website.
-
Update USB Drivers:
- Ensure that your computer's USB drivers are up to date. You can check for updates in the device manager.
-
Use a Different USB Port or Computer:
- Try connecting the printer to a different USB port on your computer.
- If possible, try connecting the printer to a different computer to see if the issue persists.
-
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cable and turn on the printer.
-
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams. Clear any jams if found.
-
Update Firmware:
- Check the HP website for any firmware updates for your printer model. If available, follow the instructions to update the firmware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
